Technology - what it does?

so many things have been said about technology, that it helps alleviate lives, extend boundaries, provide remedies for sickness and diseases, bring death and chaos, etc..etc..

but what it really does? for a person who is living alone in a land where languages, cultures and traditions are different from what he has grown up and lived with, technology provides a means to get back to the roots. to continue being in touch of his beginnings. to be in touch with his loved ones, especially the mother who have been through it all, kins who have lighten up the home and friends who have stood up, sat down, get drunk, danced and gambled with, shared light and warm moments, discussed and solved issues others may find too simple to attend too.
knowing that there will come a time when people will no longer shake hands when they meet 'coz they can meet online is one thing. its the thought of meeting and talking, though both parties are miles apart that matters.

i have just finished chatting with a friend who hasn't really been a computer lover. now he is starting to become a chat addict. good thing is, i look forward to chatting with him, coz he's one hell of a guy who has really been a part of this wacky life of mine. hopefully, i will get to chat with a very special person who happens to be a common friend of my "starting to be chatt addict" friend tomorrow. and i'm looking forward to it as well.

so for you people out there, given all the reasons, use the most of what is known as technology and connect to people as soon as you can!
